Claudia Garcia-Rojas is a communications, marketing, and media strategist for social justice organizations and initiatives. She is the first in her family to earn a college degree and a Ph.D., becoming a first-generation Northwestern University-educated scholar of race and domestic security, with an expertise in political communication and strategy.
As a freelance writer and journalist, Claudia has interviewed independent music artists, cultural figures, and political thinkers. She is also a former organizer with Love and Protect, the former Executive Director of The Chicago Taskforce on Violence Against Girls & Young Women, and a speaker and certified counselor on issues of gender-based violence. She also holds a National Academy of Sports Medicine certification in personal training.
More importantly, she’s the proud dog mom of a spirited 3-year-old rescue pup.
